Wednesday finally got her lazy ass off the bed and uploaded our photos from the MEG 14th anniversary party. It honestly astounds me that MEG magazine is one of the few magazines out there that has survived through the years. Badass status! I practically grew up with it, and it has sure switched it up in so many ways. The night was nothing short of awesome, as MEG magazine celebrated its 14 years in the industry and presented their new set of 12 pretty faces all vying to grace the cover of the magazine. This year, a fun twist will be added to the plot as all these girls’ adventures to the top will be documented in MEG’s first upcoming reality TV show, “I AM MEG: Own The World In Style.” 

We did our best to find SOMETHING red in our closet. T_T

Host Patty Laurel with the 12 + 2 finalists (yes funny surprise, they added two more contestants to the final line up that night! Lucky 14 ;) ) I gotta admit, it was fun watching them young folk ham it up in front of the crowd for 14 seconds.

Gotta thank my homegirl Aly for dropping by that night after a long day at work.

The theme for the night revolved around the Victorian era. Guests were asked to come in shades of red. Safe to say everyone was seeing red that night *LOL so punny!*

Wednesday looking like a pimp.

It was a seriously fun night, worth not partying in over a decade since adulthood -.- Wednesday and I especially had to point out how awesome the music was; we couldn’t leave cause all the songs were so nice! I personally wanted to thank the DJ.

I’m so skinny, I love it.

After that we did our wobbly shimmy in our high heels down to Jamba Juice to camhoe at the photo booth. I guess everything I was sipping that night went straight to my head, cause when I got to JJ my legs finally relented and gave way to the pavement. I might’ve skinned both my knees, but it was still a fun night.

I haven’t read a magazine in so long; I guess I’ve gotten too comfortable with reading style blogs on my phone. Ever since I was a kid though I’ve an affinity for magazines; their collage appeal and the smell of glossy paper just blow me away. I used to collect a shitload of magazines that they literally littered my bedroom floor. One of the many magazines I collected was Meg. I eventually outgrew the magazine collecting phase of my life, moving on to reading online style blogs (and being a lazy ass that can’t be fucked to make collages lol). Good thing awesome awesome Meg magazine has kept up with the times and created a website that encapsulates everything that we love about this magazine and moooore! I was invited to the launch of the iammeg.ph website and had such a great time. All them bitches dressed to the nines and were looking fantastic in the nudest of nudes in all types of drapes, skintight and pouffy varieites imaginable, and pops of color here and there. So much eye candy that night. Crappy photos for documentation!

The event was held at ultra-kewl Skye bar, which had a very photogenic skyline of BGC and the infamous faux grass that lined the entire area. The grass definitely made my night. The end!
